2012 - 2013 Spotlight Season
Open House/Registration: AUGUST 8TH & 9TH FROM 4 -7 P.M. (You can register for 2012-2013 classes, company auditions and camp)
Dance Camp: AUGUST 13TH - 16TH: Level 1 classes: Tuesday & Thursday, Level 2 classes: Monday & Wednesday. Classes run from 4 - 9 p.m. Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap & Hip Hop. $100 for all classes in your level or $12 per class per day. Exact camp schedule TBA.
Company Auditions: August 28th & 29th
Fall 2012 classes start Monday, September 10th.

Thank You!
We wanted to say a big thank you to each and every one of our dancers and parent volunteers during last week's Spring Concert 2012. We could not be more proud of all of our students and we hope you had as much fun up on the stage as we had watching you all shine!
Because of your generosity, we were able to raise $1000 to donate through the Children's Miracle Network benefiting the Pediatric Oncology unit at Hurley Hospital in Flint. THANK YOU for finding it in you hearts to help make a difference in our community!
Don't forget to register now for Spring & Summer Classes! They will fill fast, so make sure to do so during this last week of class! Don't forget, classes continue as usual through this Saturday, May 19th. Getting dancers into class over the Spring & Summer will improve their technique and keep them moving forward in working on becoming a better dancer. It will also better prepare those dancers who will be auditioning for one of our amazing Companies, August 28th & 29th. Concert 2012
Here is the schedule for our Spring Concert week! Everyone is doing such a great job, we are so proud and can't wait to see the show put together and on the stage soon! Keep up the hard work and ENJOY YOUR TIME IN THE SPOTLIGHT!
- Don't forget classes run as usual through this Sunday, May6th.
- Starting Monday, May 7th all rehearsals are held at the U of M -Flint Theatre. The University Theatre is located at the corner of Wallenberg and Kearsley Streets downtown Flint.
- Starting at 5 p.m. No costumes. This is to block and rehearsal all Company, Funkdafied & Adagio dances on the U of M Flint stage. Be ready to begin at 5 p.m. sharp.
- Rehearsal Schedule
- 3 & 4's who dance in the Thursday Evening, Saturday Matinee & Sunday Matinee Shows: Start at 4 p.m.
- 5, 6 & 7's who dance in the Thursday Evening, Saturday Matinee & Sunday Matinee Shows; Start at 4:30 p.m.
- Advanced Hip Hop dancers must be at the Theatre ready to rehearse that dance with the 5,6 & 7's Hip Hop at 5 p.m.
- All 8, 9 & 10, Teen and Company Dancers: Start at 5:30 p.m. We will start with running the Finale first. Then the 3 - 7 year old dancers will be excused and we will start at the beginning of the show in order stopping to block and fix any issues with the dances.
- This will be our longest night. So make sure to bring snacks and plenty of water. We will go as fast as we can!
- Rehearsal Schedule
- 3 & 4's who dance in the Friday & Saturday Evening Shows: Start at 4 p.m.
- 5, 6 & 7's who dance in the Friday & Saturday Evening Shows: Start at 4:30 p.m.
- Advanced Hip Hop dancers must be at the Theatre ready to rehearse that dance with the 5, 6 & 7's Hip Hop at 5 p.m.
- All 8, 9 & 10, Teen and Company Dancers: Start at 5:30 p.m. We will start with running the Finale first. It will run very close to the exact length of the show!

- Handouts are going on now for our Spring & Summer Dance classes! Make sure to register for these now at the studio or in the lobby during the show!
- Also, a big thank you to all of the Parent volunteers who are signed up to work backstage or as ushers. We truly could not do this without you! We do still need a few more people to work backstage during our Wednesday dress rehearsal and during the Saturday Evening show. Please sign up at the studio asap if you are interested! - We have begun our ticket sales process! If you have not already gotten your first recital fee tickets you must call today to pay your balance and select your tickets! Call us at 810-742-7414 or 810-444-0206 ASAP!
- You can start purchasing additional tickets for $15 per ticket on Sunday April 15th from 1- 3:30 p.m. Once this sale starts we will sell out quickly, so make sure you at least have your recital fee tickets before they are gone!
- Starting Monday, April 16th tickets sales are at the studio Monday - Thursday 6 -7 p.m. and Saturdays 10:30 - 12:30, or call us and order your tickets with a credit card over the phone. WE WILL SELL OUT, so make sure to get all the tickets you need ASAP!!!

Recital Fee Due This Week!
RECITAL FEE
Due with your MARCH PAYMENT!
$100 for your first dancer, and $25 for each additional dancer in the family.
With your $100 payment, you will receive 5 tickets for the concert.
With each additional child’s payment, you will receive one more ticket per child.
(i.e. 1 child = $100 & 5 tickets, 2 children = $125 & 6 tickets, 3 children = $150 & 7 tickets…)
- YOU MAY GET YOUR INITIAL RECITAL FEE TICKETS ON Sunday, March 25th : 1p.m. – 3:30p.m.
- You will receive your initial set of tickets that you are given with your recital fee. Tickets will not be given or saved to anyone who is not paid in full through May. All monthly payments through May, Costume Fees, Recital Fees and Competition Fees must be paid in Full. You can pay your bill at ticket sales. ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL. We will not be organizing any exchanging of tickets! All ticket exchanges will be done between ticket holders.

Company U of M Rehearsal Today!
Be at the Theatre and ready to take the Full Company picture in your "Firework" costume, jewelry, hair & make-up before 2 p.m. We will be taking the picture on the stage at 2 p.m. sharp.
We will be staging and running ALL ROUTINES GOING TO RAINBOW CONNECTION so make sure to bring of your costumes for those dances and shoes/accessories. We will be starting with the group numbers and then making our way through the routines. Once we have gotten through the routines you are in you will be excused to leave at that time. Dancers in the Solos, Duets, Trios & Small Groups will most likely be staying the longest because we will run those routines toward the end of the rehearsal. See you there!
