SPRING CONCERT 2016

SPOTLIGHT DANCERS/TICKET HOLDER COMING TO THE THEATRE FOR OUR SATURDAY MATINEE SHOW @ 1 P.M. - Getting to Campus Saturday, May 14, 2016 will be delayed! The message below is directly from the department of public safety. Please make sure to give yourself and those friends and family members who are coming to this show extra time to find parking.

From 10:00 am through 1:00 pm, most roadways along the Crim Festival of Races course will be closed or delayed for the Tour de’ Crim Bicycle event. UM-Flint DPS and other local police agencies will be coordinating traffic control for the event. Race start time is 11:00 am.

* from 10:00 am - 11:30 am for the beginning of the bike race all campus roads will be closed. This includes Saginaw St, Harrison, Fifth Avenue, East Boulevard, Campus Dr., Mill St and Kearsley St. During this time, the only campus parking lot accessible is the Mill St ramp, with entry off SB Chavez.
* from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm campus streets, Harrison and Fifth Avenue will have been reopened but remaining closed will be Saginaw St. from Court St. to Kearsley and any downtown street that crosses Saginaw St. During this time period all campus parking lots can be entered from the Fifth Avenue or Chavez Blvd connecting streets.
* No later than 1:00 pm, all traffic on campus and in the downtown area should return to normal.
If you are coming to campus for any reason, hosting an event or participating in one of the events, you should leave early and expect that many parking areas will not be available during the listed time periods. As with the Crim Race, all travel in the City of Flint will be stopped or delayed around the 10 mile course. We are so excited for everyone to see this year's show, and to see all of our students shine up in the SPOTLIGHT! There will be a sheet posted at the Theatre to help assist in the re-sale of tickets. Please remember that all re-sales will be handled between ticket holders. We do have a few tickets left for Thursday's shows. If you are looking for tickets, call Stacy by Sunday at 810-955-6263

Don't forget that classes continue in the studio until Sunday May 8th. Starting Monday, May 9th all rehearsals will be down at the U of M Flint Theatre.

CONCERT 2016 REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE!

Don't forget about next week's Spring Concert rehearsals and shows! Everything scheduled this week is held at the U of M Flint Theatre. There are NO CLASSES held at the studio next week! The schedule is as follows:

Monday: May 9th

  • 5:00 p.m.: Red, White & Blue Company, Adagio & Funkdafied dancers only! (No costumes on this day. BRING ALL SHOES & wear dance attire!)

Tuesday: May 10th -

Full costume dress rehearsal! This will be our longest night! Thank you for your patience and cooperation!! Dancers will be allowed to sit in the audience when they are not dancing at this rehearsal.
  • 4:00 p.m.: Miss Emileigh's Saturday 10 & 11 a.m. 3 & 4's
  • 4:30 p.m.: Miss Kacy's Saturday 5, 6 & 7's
  • 5:30 p.m.: All other dancers in 7, 8 & 9's and UP! 
Starting at 5:30 we will run through the Finale with ALL DANCERS. Once this is through and all announcements are made, we will excuse the 3 -7 year old dancers and then start at the top of the show.This will be a late night. We will have to stop and start to make sure all 7 and Up non-company dances are blocked on stage for the dancers. Once dancers have done all of their routines they will be free to leave because we already ran through the Finale at 5:30!


Wednesday: May 11th-
Full costume dress rehearsal! This rehearsal will run as close to the show as possible! Feel free to come and watch! Having an audience makes it a more real experience for the dancers and there is no charge! We also are in need of parent volunteers to help with the dancers backstage for this rehearsal. Dancers will NOT be allowed in the audience because we treat this just like a show!
  • 4:00 p.m.: Miss Lindsay's Tuesday 3 & 4's & Miss Kacy's Thursday 3 & 4's
  • 4:30 p.m. Miss Kacy's Tuesday 5, 6 & 7's
  • 5:30 p.m.: All other dancers in 7, 8 & 9's and UP!
Starting at 5:30 we will run through the Finale with ALL DANCERS. Once this is through and all announcements are made, we will excuse the 3 -7 year old dancers and then start at the top of the show. We only stop if there is an emergency reason, we should be out by a good time on this night! 

Thursday: May 12th: Evening Show
  • Dancers called at 6 p.m.
  • Show starts at 7 p.m.

Friday: May 13th: Evening Show

  • Dancers called at 6 p.m.
  • Show starts at 7 p.m.

Saturday: May 14th: Matinee & Evening Shows


  • Dancers called for the Matinee at 12 noon
  • Matinee starts at 1 p.m.
  • Dancers called for the Evening show at 5 p.m.
  • Evening show starts at 6 p.m.
Sunday: May 14th: Matinee Show

  • Dancers called for the Matinee at 12 noon
  • Matinee starts at 1 p.m.

USHERS & BACKSTAGE VOLUNTEERS:
If you are signed up to work as an Usher or Backstage we will need you to be at the Theatre 1 hour prior to the start of the show and find Stacy Koresh. Stacy is our backstage coordinator and she will give you direction from there!
